CRL airs on NHL Network
The emmy award winning CRL program will be playing on the NHL network. CRL is the behind the scenes hockey show that I have worked on with Monumental Sports and BASE productions for the past six years. It has been a fun and exciting show to work on and has allowed me to perfect my camera work while ice skating backwards. Making me the only backward skating cameraman in the Washington, DC area.
CRL airs on Monumental Network
CRL completed its sixth year of production this past spring of 2014. It was the sixth year that I was director of photography for the show. I have filmed about 90% of the six years, except for the time the camera was turned around and I was the subject of one of our behind the scene segments. That was a long 4 hours of being on camera, but good payback for all my years of filming everyone else!
The summer of 2014 has gone by pretty quickly but has been a very busy summer. The highlights include filming the Washington kastles win their fifth championship title in 6 years. Helping cover the GI Film Fest in Old Town Alexandria was a great experience. Filming the Ford's Theater Annual Gala with an interview with , James Earl Jones, who was awrded the Ford's Theater Lincoln Medal. The best part of the summer is CRL winning the Best Sports Segment Emmy for the - "Elliot's Take: Eliott Plays Lets Go Caps Live". Winning the award for the fourth time was very rewarding and showed that all of our production crew's hard work paid off.
